Fifty thousand images from Mars

On 29-Oct-04 NASA clocked up the 50,000th image from the Mars rovers. Boringly but also appropriately, the milestone shot was a calibration image without much actual Mars on it. So far, including the Viking landers and the rest, we have about 75,000 pictures from the surface of Mars. Little Green Men score = 0.
